3 Credits Offered Each Semester ANTH 120 is a study of human culture which involves the information and techniques people use to survive and get along with each other. Included are examples from exotic peoples around the world in the areas of religion, magic, kinship, coming of age ceremonies, marriage rituals, economic activities, hunting techniques, etc. The course is desirable for students seeking a broad understanding of how human beings live, and how human customs vary throughout the world. This class satisfies a social science course requirement for the A.A. and A.S. degrees. Lecture: 3 hours per week
