PREREQUISITE: DDT 132 or instructor approval. This second course in architectural design and drafting continues with more advanced and detailed architectural plans. Topics include floor construction and detailing, foundation, wall, and roof construction and detailing; use of standards manuals; perspective drawings; electrical plans; plumbing plans; and building materials, with emphasis on residential and some light commercial applications. Upon completion, students should be able to draw and specify advanced-level plans including various architectural details. geometry. Emphasis will be placed on the theory as well as the mechanics of applying sections, basic dimensioning, auxiliary views, and basic space geometry. This is a CORE course.
