PREREQUISITE: MTH 091 or appropriate mathematics placement score. This course is a review of the fundamental arithmetic and algebra operations. The topics include the numbers of ordinary arithmetic and the properties; integers and rational numbers; the solving of equations; polynomials and factoring; and an introduction to systems of equations and graphs. The student who places via COMPASS to take MTH 098 must finish the course with a minimum grade of 70% or a C before taking MTH 100.
