PREREQUISITES: NUR 105, 106, BIO 202, ENG 101. This course provides opportunities to develop competencies necessary to meet the needs of individuals throughout the lifespan in a safe, legal, and ethical manner using the nursing process. Students manage and provide collaborative care to clients who are experiencing selected alterations in gastrointestinal,reproductive, sensory, and endocrine systems in a variety of settings. Additional instruction is provided for oncology, mental health, teaching/ learning concepts, and advanced dosage calculations. Nutrition, pharmacology, communication, cultural, and community concepts are integrated.
