PREREQUISITE: Permission of the instructor. This course, which may be repeated for credit so long as the topics differ, provides the student the opportunity to study an Englishlanguage or literary topic chosen by the student in consultation with the instructor. Emphasis is placed on the student's investigating the topic and reporting the results of the investigation. The student will demonstrate knowledge of the topic through either a written or an oral presentation.
