(Fulfills MNTC Areas: 3, 10) This is an introductory level course that introduces the concepts of macroevolution, the 6 kingdoms system of classification, comparative study of representatives of the 6 kingdoms with special emphasis on plants and animals, the concept of biomes, and the role of human activities and their affects on the ecological balance of the biosphere.
