This course includes basic cardiac structure and development of the conduction system. Identification of the following patterns will be covered: sinus, atrial, junctional, ventricular, atrioventricular blocks, pacemaker and changes seen with electrolyte imbalance. An introduction to the 12 lead interpretation will be given. Content covered will include acute myocardial infarction recognition and localization, bundle branch blocks, atrial and ventricular hypertrophies, pericarditis and various changes seen with disease processes. Prerequisites: BIOL2260, BIOL2262, HLTH2002
