The student will engage in applications of floor and wall construction, application of required tools, and the use of builder transit, level rod, tape measure, and grade stakes. Emphasis is placed on cutting sill plates, floor joists, girders, header bridging, sub-flooring, stud wall partitions, door and window headers, wall bracing, level instruments, and batter boards. Upon course completion, students should be able to lay out and construct a floor, including the sill, joist bridging, and openings; to install sub-flooring; to construct interior and exterior walls; and to lay out property stakes of site plans. PREREQUISITE: CAR 111 / COREQUISITE: CAR 112 CORE
