This course is designed to enable students to select from systems those structural members that are safe and economical by presenting the class with the techniques used in the analysis and design of structural elements in systems. Topics include the study of stress-strain curves, material properties and uses, and both bolted and welded connections. Upon completion, students should be able to design simple to moderately complex structural members. PREREQUISITE: CET 215 CORE
