AVTP 1026 - Powerplant Systems/ Inspection

The student will begin by learning the theory of both reciprocating and turbine engine fuel metering systems such as carburetors, injectors, pumps, etc. before going to the shop to demonstrate what they have learned. After they have mastered fuel systems, the student will finish this class by learning and performing an airworthiness inspection on an engine including all required paperwork. For the students that have completed all of the other Powerplant subjects, they will complete their review for the FAA written test. This class includes approximately 8 contact lecture hours and 57 shop/lab hours. Prerequisites: AVTG 00 or AVTG 0 9.
