This course is a continuation of I and II, and focuses on the nursing care of clients with cardiac and neurological disorders, cancer and the critically ill. There is also a focus on development of basic management skills to provide nursing care for groups of clients. Finally, the student will explore the transition from student to practicing nurse. The emphasis is on the role of the A.D. nurse, as manager of client care and member within the profession of nursing. Prerequisites: Nursing Care of Childbearing/Childrearing Families, Nursing Care of Adults I and II, English Composition II. Co requisites: Nursing Care of Persons with Psychosocial Stressors, Introduction to Computer Information.
