Students learn to use an ever expanding body of knowledge and the nursing process to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving through clinical learning experiences. Students learn to function in the roles of the Practical Nurse, provider of care, manager of care, and member within the discipline to coordinate and contribute to an established plan of care for individuals,families, and groups across the life span. Prerequisites: ENGL 1010, ZOO 2010, and successful admission to the Practical Nursing Program. Co-requisites: NRST 1000 and NRST 1688. (145 hrs clinical)
