Prerequisite(s): MAT 122. A survey of astronomy, including the history of astronomy, celestial motion, terrestrial evolution, the solar system, structure and evolution of the stars, the Milky Way, galaxies and cosmology. Labs include nighttime observing sessions. Field trips to planetariums and observations will be included. 3 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory.
