Provides the student with the knowledge and skills to meet the minimum requirements of competence required of a person to serve as a paid or volunteer firefighter. Students will become familiar with the various types of equipment and procedures needed to function safely as a member of a firefighting team under direct supervision. This course fulfills the requirements of OR-OSHA and the Department of Public Safety Standards and training for entry level firefighters. Prerequisite: Instructor approval and must be a firefighter with an agency. SUMMER, FALL, WINTER, SPRING
