Students acquire knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacology that they can apply to the nursing role. Learners demonstrate an understanding of the effects of HIV infection and its complications on the client and current drug therapies for treatment of HIV infection. Students identify the effects of selected pediatric and genetic disorders, and infections of the prenatal periods. Students identify pathophysiological changes that occur with tuberculosis, and nursing responsibilities when administering antimycobacterials and antiarrhythmic drugs. Prerequisite: NUR 201 and NUR 231 with a "C" grade or better . Corequisite : NUR 202 . WINTER
