In this hands-on rigging class held onboard the training vessel and in the classroom, students will learn about, and be able to demonstrate techniques and knowledge in, wire and synthetic rope, rigging hardware, tackle blocks, chain, slings, crane operation, crane safety, and load lifting. This course compliments the seamanship series. Prerequisite: Instructor approval. This course is intended for second year students. FALL, WINTER, SPRING
