Continuation of EMT 1010. Principles and practices of advanced pre-hospital support. Emphasis is placed on infectious diseases and infection control, musculoskeletal injuries, shock and soft tissue injuries, head and spine injuries, automated external defibrillator, intravenous therapy, ambulance safety and helicopter safety. Eight hours lecture per week. Ten hours in a hospital emergency room and/or ambulance service per semester. (Prerequisite: EMT 1010.) S
