Will introduce the student to the U.S. Constitution and its impact upon the criminal justice system. The course will preview the seven Articles that establish the formation of the federal government and the balance of power. It will also preview the 27 Amendments to the Constitution with particular attention to the first ten and the 14th Amendments and their impact upon the society. The course will also examine the decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court and the impact of those decisions on our legal system.
