Exposes the student to the issues and practices of a modern corrections system. Students will examine the historical development of the current system as well as the role of corrections in our society. Students will also explore the methods of corrections management and current corrections practices. During the course students will study the issues facing the corrections system today. These issues include: ethics, race relations, behavior modification, punishment, and the future of the corrections system.
