(3 Credits) Prerequisite: CIS 120 or consent of instructor Out-of-class computer work required. An introduction to computers as a digital prepress design tool. Applications include multicolor illustration and painting soft ware, scanners, and postscript printer. Th is course expands on the practice of preparing art for multicolor printing and the principles and techniques of mechanical color separation with the use of computer soft ware. Expansion of the student's professional vocabulary is continued. Th e use of computers in drawing, typesetting, and printing production increases.
