Is an introductory course designed for engineering, allied health and science majors. Fundamental laws of chemistry, atomic theory and structure, chemical calculations, chemical bonding, gases and the kinetic molecular theory, chemical kinetics, acids, bases, and salts are covered in this course. Extended laboratory periods are required. Prerequisite: High school chemistry with a B or better or General Chemistry.
