(4 Credits) Prerequisite: CIS 101 Out-of-class computer work required. An introduction to the concepts of computer operating systems and client administration. Topics covered include a comparison of operating system platforms and how the operating system works with hardware and other soft ware. Th e course includes a practicum in which students install and confi gure an operating system for clients for optimal performance in a network. Course covers CompTIA A+ and MCSE certifi cation topics.
