(3 Credits) Prerequisites: CIS 202 (or concurrent enrollment in CIS 202) Out-of-class computer work required. Audit by consent of instructor only. Emphasis for this course will be on public telecommunications services such as Frame Relay, ISDN, HDLC, PPP, and DDR. Students will learn the advantages, disadvantages, and features of each service as well as how to confi gure Cisco routers to use each service. Network IP addressing solutions through the use of NAT, PAT, DHCP and private addresses will be stressed. Preparation course for the Cisco Certifi ed Network Associate exam.
