(1 Credit) Out-of-class computer work required. An introduction to the common graphical interface program for personal computers. Emphasis will be placed on fi le management (creating, saving, and backing up fi les and folders). Th ere will also be a brief look at personal computer fundamentals as they relate to the Windows environment. Th e hardware requirements for running Windows will be discussed. Practical instruction in working in this environment will include how to use a mouse, how to work with and modify windows, using drop-down menus, running multiple applications simultaneously, and transferring data between applications.
