(3 Credits) An introduction to algebra intended for students who have had little or no algebra. Topics covered include operations with signed numbers, simplifying algebraic expressions, solving linear equations and formulas, and variation. Basic geometry will also be covered. Students who complete the required competencies pass this course. Students who do not receive a grade of B or better will be required to retake the course. (Does not satisfy graduation requirements)
