(3 Credits) This course is for the student who wants to understand the physical phenomena in the areas of physics, chemistry, geology, and astronomy without the mathematical requirements typically associated with a course in physics or chemistry. Questions such as "Why is the sky blue?" or "What causes a red sunset?" can be answered without a rigorous mathematical treatment. Examine the great achievements in the physical sciences and their impact upon our world.
