(3 Credits) This course will provide an overview of early intervention from the historical, legal, and current best-practices perspectives, as well as an introduction to caring for infants with high-risk situations and disabilities, from birth to age three. The concepts of intervention in natural environments and family-centered support will be explored. The course is designed to support the training needs of early childhood educators, early intervention assistants, parents, and care providers who will serve this population.
