Introduction course that covers the knowledge, proper use and application of precision measuring instrument s . Emphasis is placed on instrument accuracy and GRR (gage repeatability and reproductivity). Topics include gage blocks, comparators, electronic data acquisition and calibration. An excellent course for anyone looking to do Quality Control and/or work in an R&D testing environment. (formerly Dimensional Metrology I) Lecture: 2 hours Laboratory: 2 hours (course fee required)
