Principles of physics designed to provide students with a mathematicallybased (non-calculus) understanding of mechanics, heat and sound. Designed for the student going into a technology field and focuses on the application side of these principles. Topics include understanding how efficiencies are built into a system, from alternative energy sources to maximize existing forces of linear and rotational motion. Prerequisite: MAT 114 Lecture: 2 hours Laboratory: 2 hours (course fee required)
