(2 credits) Prerequisite: MDL 101 or permission of Program Director. Studies the gross, chemical, and microscopic techniques used in the clinical laboratory. Emphasizes study of clinical specimens, which include the urine, feces, cerebrospinal fluid blood, and exudates. Introduces specimen collection and preparation. Lecture 2 hours + lab 3 hours, total 5 hours per week.
