(4 credits/4 credits) Prerequisites: CHM 102 or CHM 112, MDL 110, MDL 125, MDL 210, MDL 220 or permission of Program Director. Introduces methods of performing biochemical analysis of clinical specimens. Teaches instrumentation involved in a clinical chemistry laboratory, quality control, and the ability to recognize technical problems. Lecture 3 hours + lab 3 hours, total 6 hours per week.
