(3 credits) Prerequisite: ENG 05. Covers identification of hazards, personal protective equipment, safe practices, and protection of personnel, property, and equipment in the aerospace environment. Includes basic principles of quality assurance engineering related to each step in the manufacturing process. Uses computer-based tools for analysis and reporting, safety procedures including OSHA regulations and hazardous materials. Lecture 3 hours per week.
