Allowable Times for Credit: 1.00 Maximum Credits Allowed: ACH: 48.00- Lab: 3.00- Credits: 3.00- Contact Hrs: 3.00- Lecture: 0.00- Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MEDA 220 and MEDA 221. This is a capstone course for the Medical Assisting Program. This internship provides the student with the opportunity to observe and perform various office related competencies under the supervision of a preceptor. This learning experience will be scheduled in physician's offices or clinics. The student will complete 48 hours per credit hour (144 clock hours) in the medical/clinic setting. The student is asked to meet with the Coordinator of Work-Based Learning prior to registering for this course. [Semesters Offered: Variable]
