Allowable Times for Credit: 1.00 Maximum Credits Allowed: ACH: 16.00-52.80 Lab: 2.00- Credits: 2.00- Contact Hrs: 3.00- Lecture: 1.00- Minimum grade of C in MATH 101 or satisfactory test score; concurrent enrollment in NURS 164T and NURS 164L or permission of Director of Nursing. Prerequisite: Designed to teach the student the mathematical skills essential for safe administration of medications. Topics include: ratio, proportion, intravenous solution, apothecary and metric systems, and pediatric dosages. In addition, the student will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the administration of medications in a weekly laboratory setting. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Winter, Spring]
