Allowable Times for Credit: 1.00 Maximum Credits Allowed: ACH: 57.60-72.80 Lab: 0.00- Credits: 2.00- Contact Hrs: 4.00- Lecture: 4.00- Prerequisite: English as a Second Language Assessment Test, Oral Interview and Writing Sample. This course prepares non-native speakers of English for traditional academic classes. Throughout the course, students will practice and monitor their speaking, reading, writing, listening, and study skills so that they will be able to adjust to various academic situations. This course will emphasize pronunciation skills and listening comprehension within the American culture/history and the government and civics.
