Allowable Times for Credit: 1.00 Maximum Credits Allowed: ACH: 106.80- Lab: 4.00- Credits: 4.00- Contact Hrs: 6.00- Lecture: 2.00- Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in DIEC 120 and READ 100 or satisfactory test score. This course provides the technician with the competencies necessary to identify and make repairs on the mechanical and hydraulic components of the die casting equipment. It will also enable the student to describe and follow an effective maintenance program for these systems. The student will also learn the electrical system of the die cast machine, including understanding circuit design, and troubleshooting relay logic control and programmable controllers.
