Meets MnTC Goal Area(s):5 This course provides an examination of major personality maladjustment and disorganization with primary emphasis on causes, diagnostic criteria, and treatment approaches. It includes historical and theoretical approaches, as well as an examination of related contemporary issues. This is a general education course that is appropriate for all learners interested in examining and having a better understanding of psychological abnormalities such as personality disorders, disorders related to stress and substance abuse, and other brain-related and/or cognitive impairments. Prerequisite(s): ENGL0100 or appropriate assessment score. Co-requisite(s): ENGL0100 if prerequisite is not met.
