This course will cover basic principles and history of alternative energy sources. The utilization of renewable sources (solar, wind, geothermal, etc.) as well as alternatives in building operations (microturbines, fuel cells, combined heat and power) will be examined. Alternative and traditional energies will be defined and compared in terms of today's use. Emerging energy career areas will be discussed. Prerequisite(s): None
