Prerequisite: Must hold current EMT license, be accepted in the Paramedic Program, and successfully complete all first semester paramedic courses. This course integrates the theory behind the use of advanced diagnostic treatment procedures into the practice of the paramedic. Areas of emphasis include infectious disease, OB/GYN, behavior, abuse, geriatrics, hematology and patients with special consideration.
