Prerequisite: A minimum ACT score of 13; Compass Algebra score of 16-30; a grade of "C" or better in MAT090 or Learning CenterModules MAT002, MAT003 and MAT004. A course designed to introduce students to the concepts of algebra. The course covers the real number system; solving equations and inequalities; exponents and polynomials; factoring; multiplying and dividing rational expressions; graphing linear equations; and introduces roots and radicals. Does not meet math requirements for AGS or AA degree and does not apply as elective credit toward an AA degree.
