3 credits. 4 hours. (Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours.) Prerequisite: SPAN 216. Students will broaden their language skills while at the same time experience a new culture througha total immersion program in a Spanish-speaking country. Special emphasis will be placed on spokencommunicationwihle expanding listening, reading and writing skills. Students will be tested and placed intot he appropriate level of instruction. All classes are conducted in Spanish by native Spanish speakers.
