2.5 credits. 3 hours. (Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 1 hour.) Prerequisite: EMS 224. This course covers womens health issues that the Paramedic may encounter. Additionally, the student will be trained to handle emergency childbirth and to provide emergency care to pediatric patients. The American Heart Association and American Academy of Pediatrics Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is offered as well.
