3 credits. 3 hours. (Lecture 3 hours.) Prerequisite: EHSS 200 and EHSS 203. This course will provide a broad coverage of proactive and regulatory approaches to emergency planning. Analysis techniques, methods of auditing, and conducting hazards assessments are covered. Incident prevention and life and cost savings are emphasized. Subject materials are presented for students working in industry as well as the public sector of emergency planning and incident response. Environmental health and safety liabilities are addressed in terms of incident prevention and proper management.
