1 credit. 2 hours. (Laboratory 2 hours.) Prerequisite: Student must meet one of the following: 1) Certified dental or orthodontic assistant through the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. 2.) Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental assisting or dental hygiene program. 3.) Completion of DENA 106 Basic Dental Techniques and successful completion of Basic Skills Mastery Exam given by the Missouri Dental Assistants Association. Dental restorative materials with emphasis on placing and carving amalgam and composite restorations and palliative care of dental emergencies.
