1 credit. 1 hour. (Lecture 1 hour.) Positive aspects of dependency. The challenge model is a therapeutic approach of viewing survivors of troubled families developed by Drs. Steven and Sybil Wolin. This model contrasts with traditional models that emphasize damage and pathology. This course emphasizes strengths found in many children from dysfunctional families that are protective in nature and a positive approach toward healthier choices.
