Prerequisite: BIOL 108, or BIOL 109, or BIOL 110 & 210, admission to the Paramedic Program, and Missouri licensed EMT or equivalent from another state. This course introduces the student to the roles and responsibilities of the Paramedic, as well as the legal and ethical issues encountered. It also includes an orientation to the pathophysiology related to advanced prehospital care. Assessment, management and care of airway and breathing problems.
