3 credits. 3 hours. (Lecture 3 hours.) Prerequisite: MATH 141 and CSIS 223. An introduction to data organizations, strings, stacks, queues, linear lists, linked-lists, heaps, and trees. These topics will be integrated with the notion of abstract data types. Students will develop skills in the use of abstraction, specification, and program construction using modules. Algorithms used to implement data structures will be introduced and their efficiency analyzed.
