Description:
Students will gain knowledge in wildland fire standards, techniques and suppression methods associated with various fuel types, weather and topography. In addition, students will also gain knowledge in fire line references and explore the techniques associated with wildland structural defense. Students will gain a working knowledge of fire behavior and fire control techniques needed to carry out assigned wildland fire tasks. Students successfully completing the course will receive S-130, S-190, I-100, and L-180 certificates recognized by the National Wildfire Coordination Group (NWCG).
