This course meets Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) goal area 5. This course is a basic introduction to psychology. Topics include its history, research methods, biological factors in behavior, sensation and perception, motivation and emotion, learning, intelligence, personality theories, human development, social behavior, and abnormal psychology. This course exposes learners to the basics of these topics. Prerequisite: College level reading score on a placement test or a minimum grade of "C" in College Prep Reading(READ0355).
