This course safely introduces learners to the theory and techniques of diving through the ice. The course encompasses two evenings (six classroom hours/two pool hours) and one weekend of diving through the ice. This experience is made comfortable with proper equipment, and the dives are conducted in a custom shelter where the topside temperatures are above 70 degrees. Prerequisite: Certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent and PHED1413.
